I have never opened my 1701 or 1702, but I can tell you changing a switch on a 1802, 1901, 1804, 1084s or 1085 is very straightforward. WebJan 31, 2024 · The first thing to try would be to remove all dust from the inside of the display, particularly the high voltage areas near the flyback and on the neck board. Sometimes dust build-up can cause a ack of contact between the CRT and the socket. If removing the dust doesn't work then it is advisable to check the neck board for failed components.
